At-Tahur Limited (PSX: PREMA), one of Pakistan’s leading premium dairy producers, reported a massive 56% year-on-year surge in its consolidated net profit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. Powered by robust sales in its core dairy portfolio, strict administrative cost discipline, and solid fair value gains on biological assets, the company’s bottom line reached Rs821.63 million, up from Rs528.15 million in FY25.
Reflecting this sharp expansion in profitability, basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) jumped 55.4% to Rs3.76, compared to Rs2.42 in the previous year.
Top-Line Momentum & Operational Performance
Revenue from contracts with customers climbed 22.6% to Rs6.93 billion from Rs5.65 billion in FY25, driven by rising consumer demand for fresh dairy products. Total gross operational value expanded 18.6% to hit Rs12.63 billion, supported by:
- Rs4.40 billion in gains on the initial recognition of milk (+14.8% YoY).
- Rs1.30 billion in fair value gains on dairy livestock (+11.8% YoY).
Operating costs rose 20.7% to Rs9.82 billion, yielding a healthy gross operational margin of Rs2.81 billion—an 11.6% increase over FY25’s Rs2.52 billion.
Strict Cost Control & Non-Operating Boosts
At-Tahur demonstrated strong operational discipline across overheads:
- Administrative & General Expenses: Kept virtually flat, edging up just 1.4% to Rs362.69 million.
- Selling & Marketing Expenses: Increased 20.5% to Rs755.93 million to fuel aggressive market expansion and retail reach.
- Other Expenses: Contracted by 7.5% to Rs656.21 million.
- Other Income: Soared by an impressive 156.7% to Rs158.90 million.
Operating profit subsequently surged 34.8% to Rs1.19 billion.
Prudent Debt Management Seals the Win
Below the operating line, PREMA kept debt-servicing costs well-managed, with finance expenses holding steady at Rs246.78 million (up only 0.6% YoY). Profit before tax (PBT) jumped 50.9% to Rs883.82 million, after accounting for statutory levies of Rs63.70 million.
After absorbing a tax charge of Rs62.18 million, At-Tahur Limited capped off a landmark year with a net profit of Rs821.63 million, cementing its market leadership and delivering strong returns to shareholders.
