Matco Foods Hits 6-Year Profit High of PKR 565 Million Following Strategic Restructuring

Matco Foods Limited has announced a record consolidated net profit for the financial year ended June 30, 2026. Driven by strategic corporate restructuring and strong performances across its newly established divisions, consolidated net profit surged by 36.2% year-on-year to PKR 564.85 million, up from PKR 414.85 million in FY 2025. Consolidated Earnings Per Share (EPS) rose to PKR 4.61 compared to PKR 3.39 last year.

Key Operational & Financial Highlights

  • Consolidated Revenue & Margins: Total consolidated sales stood at PKR 23.85 billion. The planned contraction in low-margin bulk commodity export volumes allowed the Group to expand its Gross Profit by 5.5% to PKR 3.55 billion, improving consolidated gross margins by 227 basis points to 14.88%.
  • Highest-Ever Profitability: Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached PKR 723.97 million, representing a 49.5% increase year-on-year.
  • Entity Credit Rating Upgrade: VIS Credit Rating Company Limited upgraded Matco Foods’ entity ratings to “A-/A2” with a Stable outlook, citing strong corporate governance, improved operational profitability, and disciplined balance sheet management.
  • Global Recognition: FALAK Chili Crunch was awarded the prestigious Superior Taste Award 2026 by the International Taste Institute in Brussels, following FALAK Fries Masala’s recognition in 2025.

Corporate Restructuring & Business Growth

Effective July 1, 2025, Matco Foods completed a corporate carve-out into distinct platforms:

  1. Matco Corn Products (Private) Limited (MCPPL): The corn wet-milling plant operating in Allama Iqbal Industrial City, Faisalabad, achieved an 88% capacity utilization rate.
  2. Falak Foods Limited (FFL): Managing consumer packaged goods, recipe mixes, and spices, FFL delivered over 25% top-line revenue growth with a gross profit margin exceeding 41%.
  3. Barentz Pakistan (Private) Limited (Joint Venture): Share of profit from the life-sciences associate increased by 115.6% to PKR 98.01 million.

Strategic Outlook & Sustainability Initiatives

The Group continued its transition toward renewable energy, relying on captive rooftop solar installations across its Karachi, Sadhoke, and Faisalabad facilities, as well as utilizing internal biomass (rice husk) for boiler operations. Furthermore, the company expanded its Kissan Dost Program, supporting over 600 smallholder farming families with EU Organic certification and crop traceability.
