The livestock sector in Pakistan has achieved a major milestone with the introduction of the country’s first gel-based Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccine, AFTODOLL jel, introduced by Dollvet.
Designed to offer comprehensive defense against one of the most economically damaging livestock diseases, the purified trivalent inactivated gel-based vaccine utilizes advanced technology to safeguard herds more effectively.
Key Highlights:
- Advanced Formulation: Combines a trivalent composition tailored with strains O (PanAsia-2), A (Iran-05), and Asia-1 (Sindh-08).
- Packaging & Dosage: Available in 50 ml bottles, providing 25 doses per vial.
- Quality Assurance: Maintained strictly under cold chain logistics to ensure optimal potency and safety upon administration.
Agricultural and veterinary experts note that the deployment of advanced gel-base technology marks a substantial upgrade in disease prevention strategies for local farmers, aiming to minimize heavy economic losses caused by FMD outbreaks in cattle, buffalo, sheep, and goats.
