To bridge the gap in rural animal healthcare, the Livestock and Dairy Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has approved a major initiative titled “Ehsaas Be-Zuba’n Sehat Gaari”. The Rs. 954 million project—funded through the current fiscal year’s Annual Development Programme—will deploy 50 mobile veterinary clinics evenly across the province’s settled and merged districts. Designed to deliver free diagnostic, surgical, and preventative services directly to remote farming communities, the fleet is expected to hit the road by late 2026.
Key Features of the Mobile Fleet
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Each vehicle will feature on-board diagnostic laboratories, ultrasound machines, surgical tools, and cold-chain storage for vaccines.
- Digital Tracking & Monitoring: Vehicles will be fitted with GPS tracking and linked directly to the Livestock Management Information System (LMIS) to track movement and service delivery across every tehsil.
- Farmer Education & Awareness: Equipped with LED screens and audio systems, the units will broadcast educational videos on modern husbandry, poultry management, and disease prevention during field visits.
