Cambodian Premium Rice to Take Center Stage at SIAL Paris 2026 as Exports Surge 67%

The Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) is set to lead 12 local exporters to the prestigious Salon International de l’Alimentation Paris (SIAL Paris 2026), giving the Kingdom’s high-quality rice products a prominent platform on the global stage.

The event—recognized as one of the world’s largest international food trade fairs—will take place from October 17 to 21 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in France.

Showcasing World-Class Quality

Organized under the guidance of the Royal Government of Cambodia and supported by key ministries and the Rural Development and Agriculture Bank, the Cambodian delegation will present award-winning rice varieties and rice-based products that meet international food safety standards under a dedicated 96-square-metre pavilion in Hall 8.

“The participation aims to promote Cambodian rice, increase exports in line with government policies and diversify international markets,” the CRF stated, highlighting that this marks the federation’s third appearance at the event following 2014 and 2024. SIAL Paris 2026 is expected to draw over 8,000 exhibitors and nearly 295,000 food-industry professionals worldwide.

Massive Export Boom Precedes Event

The international showcase comes amid a historic surge in Cambodian rice shipments. According to recent CRF data, Cambodia exported 792,212 tonnes of milled rice in the first eight months of 2026—a massive 67.5% jump compared to the 472,803 tonnes shipped during the same period in 2025.

This export boom generated $464 million in revenue from January to August, reflecting a 33% year-on-year increase and further cementing the European Union and China as the primary destinations for the country’s premium rice.
