Millat Tractors Partners with China’s LOVOL to Drive Advanced Farm Mechanization in Pakistan

21

Millat Tractors Limited (MTL) has signed a strategic distribution agreement with LOVOL—China’s largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery—to deliver advanced, high-tech farm equipment to Pakistani farmers.

Through this partnership, MTL gains distribution rights for LOVOL’s specialized machinery lineup, including track-type harvesters, wheeled harvesters, and balers, with scope to expand the product range as demand grows. Aligning with national agricultural modernization goals, the collaboration aims to boost crop yields, minimize post-harvest losses, and bolster Pakistan’s overall food security.

Strategic Highlights & Future Manufacturing

  • Phased Localization Plan: The agreement establishes a roadmap for eventual completely knocked-down (CKD) assembly and localized manufacturing once target sales volumes are achieved.
  • Dual Brand Strategy: MTL Chairman Sikandar Mustafa Khan confirmed that Massey Ferguson remains MTL’s primary brand, with the LOVOL portfolio serving as a complementary lineup for specialized and high-horsepower equipment needs.
