The Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) is set to host the 26th International Poultry Expo (IPEX 2026) at the Expo Centre Lahore from October 8 to 10, bringing together over 100,000 local and international visitors, trade professionals, and industry leaders. Billed as the region’s largest poultry gathering, the three-day exhibition will highlight innovations across the complete poultry value chain, including farm automation, genetics, feed technology, animal vaccines, and halal meat exports.

Briefing the media on Monday, IPEX-2026 Chief Organizer Dr. Rana Sajjad Arshad and Chairman Malik Mohammad Sharif announced that the event will host over 50 foreign companies alongside more than 500 international delegates. The global presence aims to connect local producers with international technological advancements, facilitating direct business-to-business (B2B) linkages, joint ventures, and technology transfer for small and medium-scale farmers.

Alongside the main exhibition, the event will feature a dedicated Poultry Science Conference where scholars and university students will present scientific research on disease control, climate-controlled farming, and strategies to manage rising production costs. On the second day, students from all four provinces will participate in an inter-provincial “Nutritious Diet” competition to raise public awareness about the health benefits of poultry products and promote balanced nutrition.

With an estimated 1.5 million people employed directly and indirectly across the sector, PPA organizers emphasized that chicken meat and eggs remain the most affordable source of protein for Pakistani households. The expo provides a national platform to address industry challenges, spur investment across pharmaceuticals, feed mills, and processing, and further expand Pakistan’s halal export potential.
