In a major move to curb pollution and improve civic infrastructure, Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir Khan has approved in principle the phased relocation of dairy farms outside Quetta’s urban boundaries. The decision targets long-standing issues surrounding public health, severe waste mismanagement, hygiene, traffic bottlenecks, and environmental degradation caused by commercial livestock facilities operating inside the city.
The resolution was reached during a high-level meeting reviewing the execution of the Quetta Master Plan, building code enforcement, regional water resource management, and medical reimbursement systems for government workers.
